This Credit Repair Forum will be dealing primarily with issues related to consumers in the state of Texas. While discussions may include federal laws, statutes, acts and court cases, they will be discussed in their relationship to Texas. Any posted questions about other states may be moved or deleted.
We also will not be spending any time discussing the multitude of possibilities if you are sued by a creditor or collection agency. We may discuss court cases and general strategy. Hint: You generally have approximately 20 days to answer a summons. You will not become a lawyer in those 20 days. Use the time to hire competent counsel. Or, visit the multitude of websites who claim it is easy to go pro se against collectors. You can always come back after you lose and ask for an opinion.
This forum is for entertainment purposes only.
Unless specifically noted, no one here is an attorney.
None of the information here is legal advice.
If you need legal advice, you should contact an attorney in your area that has experience with your specific issues.
